56 Thanksgiving and The Spirit of Gratitude

Being thankful makes us joyful people and as Christians we’re meant to be joyful people sharing Christ’s love.

Thanksgiving and The Spirit of Gratitude

Who is Michelle Fritz?

Michelle Fritz is a daughter of God, a cradle Catholic, a Georgia peach, a devoted wife of almost 30 years to amazing husband Mike, and an eclectic homeschooling mother to eleven living children. She has experienced the loss of 16 babies in her call to be open to life, but knows that God is always loving and always gracious. She and her husband know that they have an army of Saints already in heaven!

Additionally, with her vocation as wife, mom, and home school teacher she also holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters in Theology. She is the Youth Minister for both the middle school and high school groups at her church. Her mission in life is to share God’s love and light and to inspire others to find joy in everything they encounter.

In this episode, I talk to Michelle Fritz about giving thanks and the spirit of gratitude. She talks about:
-Why do we need to be thankful?
-How does gratitude change us?
-How to live a thankful life?
-What would you say to people who are struggling?

Thanksgiving and The Spirit of Gratitude

I haven’t posted all November. To talk about thanksgiving and the spirit of gratitude, I prayed and finally wrote to Michelle. She was so gracious and kind to make room on Saturday morning to do the podcast.

What I loved while talking to Michelle is her saying that we need to thank God for the littlest things in our life. God does small things with great love that we take for granted. There’s some thing she said that absolutely touched me.

God is bigger the closer you are to HIM.

Michelle Fritz

When we’re far from Him, He can seem powerless and small. However, when He’s close to us, He can seem big and undefeatable. She also talked about little things like smiling, doing small things, praying and making a journal. She has specific advice for people who are struggling and tells us that in a world full of pain, we need to be Christ’s hands and feet.

In Gratitude

And so in keeping with the spirit of Thanksgiving, I want to thank God for all my speakers, guests, listeners, writers, hosts and people associated with his podcast. My ministry would not have been thankful without you. I also thank God for placing this ministry. Sometimes, it can be hard and frustrating, but every episode and every moment has been worth it.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!
