My Interview on The Emit Blackwell Show

I was interviewed on Wednesday by Emit Blackwell on his podcast, The Emit Blackwell Show. Credit has to be given to Emit because I’d had a particularly difficult day. 😥 A day spent with tears. In fact, I was planning to cancel. Emit usually books his interviews months in advance and I think we’d picked this interview date back in January.

My interview on The Emit Blackwell Show would have been cancelled if it hadn’t been for Emit. Five minutes after the green room talk with Emit and it seemed doable. He was funny and sooooo positive, that we ended up doing the interview and having a blast. Not just that, when I listened to the recording, I realized, I had laughed more than I talked.

Emit is a wonderful host. His show searches the Web for the Most Creative, Intriguing, and Captivating People in the World. Ahem. 🤭 Not that I’m the any of the above but Emit was happy to invite me and talk about my books. For that I’m very grateful. He was also keen to talk about my own podcast and covered every genre of my writing work. It’s quite a good feeling to be appreciated in some small way.

I don’t know if you can tell but I was still quite nervous doing this. It’s weird being on the other side of the mic. It was still great fun. I was even more surprised when Emit included questions about my own personal life!!!! 😳 Thank goodness you can edit podcasts!

The most fun part of our podcast was the game This or That! This is the first time I’ve done it on air and it was super funny! While 3 seconds are a long time on air, I couldn’t quite come up with questions at the drop of a hat! All in all, you can hear me laugh way more than I should have. And it was great way to end a sad/bad/mad day!

In the meantime, I’m hoping I can make it to the Metropolitan Museum to see Catholic art. It’s supposed to be part of my Lenten meditation. I’m not much of an art lover but I love museums so let’s see if I can bring myself to go. And yes, pictures will follow!
